How to Change the Watch Battery in a Swatch Watch
Step 1. Swatch watch cases are sealed, but have a battery access port on the back of the case.
Step 2. The easiest way to open this is to use a small coin such as a 20p piece. Insert this into the slot on the cover to the battery port on the back of the watch.
Step 3. Twist the battery port cover anti-clockwise a quarter turn to undo it.
Step 4. The cover will come loose and can be lifted off. Place the cover somewhere safe.
Step 5. The battery can now be seen in the battery compartment.
Step 6.Using the point of a screwdriver or small blade, prise the battery free from the compartment.
Step 7.Remove the old battery, using the point of a screwdriver or small blade.
Step 8. Replace with a new battery. When fitting the new battery try to avoid touching the battery surfaces with your hands as grease and dirt from your hands can reduce the battery life.
Plastic tweezers are useful for this step.
Step 9. Check that the watch is working - if not check the section on
Problems afer replacing new battery. If it is working you can replace the battery cover; line up the flanges on the battery cover with the indents
in the back of the watch.
Step 10. Twist the cover clockwise a quarter turn to close it.
