    Ordering and Payment

    Ordering is simple:

    a) Choose the item you wish to purchase from our site pages and click the 'Add to Basket' button. The contents of your shopping basket will be displayed in the window.

    b) Click the 'Continue Shopping' button to select other items for purchase, or remove unwanted items from the shopping cart by clicking in the box to the left of the unwanted item and then clicking the 'Remove Selected Items' button at the top of the page.

    c) Once you have all the items you wish to purchase in the shopping cart, select the appropriate shipping rate;

    Please note we cannot accept orders from countries outside Europe. Regretfully we cannot ship Motorcycle Batteries outside Mainland UK, this means we cannot supply motorcycle batteries for delivery to Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and other off-shore UK addresses. There are also some Scottish postcode areas we are unable to deliver motorcycle batteries to. These can be checked here.

    d) Please check our Terms & Conditions and then click the 'I accept the Terms & Conditions' box to proceed with your order.

    e) Click the 'Calculate Totals' button and the 'Pay by Debit/Credit Card' button will appear at the bottom of the shopping cart, click this button to use our on-line ordering facility which will allow you to make payment by credit card securely via WorldPay. When using the online ordering system all payment details are entered directly into the WorldPay site (part of the Royal Bank of Scotland) and are not made available to us. The WorldPay online payment system is very secure.

    Telephone orders will only be taken when a customer is experiencing technical problems in using the website. Please note that if we take your order by telephone we will place the order through the website using the same method as you would i.e. your payment will be made via the internet. The internet payment system we use means that your credit card details are never passed through our website but go directly to WorldPay (part of the Royal Bank of Scotland) and are completely secure.

    Alternatively, you can use the printable order form. Print off the order form, fill in the items you require and post to us with the correct remittance using either a cheque or postal order. Due to the extra administration overhead of postal orders, there is a £10.00 minimum order amount for postal/mail orders.

    Shipping Charges

    UK shipping charges entitle the customer to Royal Mail First Class postage (some heavier deliveries may be sent by Parcel Post or courier) for UK delivery addresses. We may, at our discretion, use Recorded Delivery.

    *In the case of Irish Republic and European shipping charges over £2.50 in value, these include the cost of 'International Signed For' postage and cover the costs of the extra administration required for processing overseas orders. This option does not apply to the UK. Please note we are unable to accept orders for delivery outside Europe.

    Motorcycle batteries can only be supplied within Mainland UK and are delivered by courier. Please note that products delivered by courier need to be signed for. If nobody is available to sign when the courier attempts delivery, the courier will leave a card explaining that the item will be available for collection at the local depot and that they will attempt re-delivery in the following days. The battery will be returned to us after 7 days and re-delivery after this period will be payable by the customer at an additional £8.00. If the courier is unable to deliver because a delivery signature could not be obtained and you subsequently cancel the order we will refund your purchase less the delivery costs incurred by Watchbattery UK Ltd of £8 (£15 for Scottish Highlands).

    Tax Charges

    WatchBattery (UK) Ltd is VAT registered. VAT invoices/receipts are issued automatically with despatched goods. Our VAT registration number is 815935217.

    Delivery Schedule

    Orders received before 3.30pm on a working day will be despatched the same day, providing the product is in stock. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your order, provided you have supplied us with a valid email address. If the goods are not in stock we will let you know via email that there has been a delay in sending your order. We will endeavour to get these items to you within 2 weeks of receiving your order. If the delay in delivery is unacceptable to you we will cancel your order and payment or, if payment has already been processed, we will refund any payment taken once you have advised us that the product(s) are no longer required.

    ROYAL MAIL INDUSTRIAL ACTION: During periods of industrial action by Royal Mail staff, deliveries may be delayed. Please allow extra time for the delivery of your order. We recommend that you allow at least 7 working days before contacting us regarding a delayed delivery, unless you have chosen 'Special Delivery' when you should receive your order by the day after mail collection has resumed.

    Missing and Delayed Deliveries

    All UK orders are sent out by Royal Mail 1st Class post, Special Delivery or courier and should reach you by the following working day. (We may, at our discretion, use Recorded Delivery.) If your order fails to be delivered, please notify us by telephone (01793 778127) or email using our Contact Us form. We will assist you with information you require to claim compensation from the Royal Mail or courier service for lost or damaged items. Please note that an order is not considered lost by the Royal Mail until 15 working days have elapsed. The Royal Mail allows for a maximum claim value of £39 on items posted 1st Class. For higher value items we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery, which allows you to track the progress of your package online and insures your goods for up to £500. If you need to claim from the Royal Mail for lost or damaged items you can do this online or download a printable form (P58) from Royal Mail Lost Items

    Please note that if we process the claim on your behalf we will only receive back from the Royal Mail the cost to us of the items sent. We will then only be able to use this to resend the order to you and will not be able to refund your original payment.

    Non-Delivered Orders

    Please ensure that you enter a full and correct delivery address for your order. We cannot be held resposible for orders that are not delivered where a full and correct delivery address has not been given. If the order is returned to us by the Post Office we will re-send the order to the correct address on receipt of the correct additional postage fee for redelivery. This is as follows:

    Damaged Goods

    All deliveries should be inspected on arrival. If there are any signs of damage you should inform us as soon as possible but within 7 days of receipt of the product. We will always replace damaged goods so long as you inform us within 7 days of receipt.

    Faulty Goods

    Where a product is covered by a manufacturer's 1 or 2 year warranty we will replace the product should it prove faulty within the first 6 months from date of purchase, unless the item was purchased as a Clearance Item - see following section. If a fault develops outside the first 6 months from the date of purchase the warranty claim must be made directly to the manufacturer.
    Items that do not come with a manufacturer's warranty such as alkaline batteries, watch straps and small batteries will be replaced, should they prove faulty within the first 30 days from date of purchase, providing they have been used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. We will use our discretion in offering replacement items or refunds where we believe the product has not been used within the manufacturer's specifications.
    Before returning a faulty items please contact us either by telephone (01793 778127) or using our Contact Us form to obtain a Returns Code. Please ensure that you use the correct postage (this will usually be Large Letter or Packet rate) and we recommend that you obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate from the Post Office. Items posted without this certificate are done so at your own risk.
    We will include a refund of the postage you have paid to return the faulty item with the replacement goods.

    Clearance Items

    Clearance Items include end of line products and out of season items at bargain prices. They are new products, not returns or refurbished items. Because they are end of line or out of season items, they are sold on the condition that should a product purchased as a Clearance Item develop a fault at any time within the warranty period, the warranty claim must be made by the purchaser directly to the manufacturer and not to WatchBattery (UK) Ltd. WatchBattery (UK) Ltd can only provide a replacement or refund on a Clearance Item if the product is shown to be faulty on receipt.

    Returns Policy

    The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 give UK consumers the right to cancel their order within 7 working days of taking delivery. The customer has the right to inspect the goods and must make sure they remain undamaged and unused. We can only offer a refund on products returned to us if they are returned in re-saleable condition and have not been removed from their original packaging.

    Unwanted Goods If you wish to return goods to us please use the Returns Slip on the bottom of your invoice, or contact us either by telephone (01793 778127) or using our Contact Us form to obtain a Returns Code. Please ensure that you use the correct postage (this will usually be Large Letter or Packet rate) and we recommend that you obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate from the Post Office. Items posted without this certificate are done so at your own risk. We will refund the cost of the goods to your credit card within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods.
    We reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee of up to 20% on goods returned outside the 7 day review period. We cannot accept returns after 14 days from receipt by the customer.

    Exchanging Goods If you wish to exchange the product you have ordered please use the Returns Slip on the bottom of your invoice, or obtain a Returns Code from us as above, and include £1.00 (or equivalent in postage stamps) with the returned goods towards the return postage of the correct item. Please ensure that you use the correct postage to return the unwanted item (this will usually be Large Letter or Packet rate) and we recommend that you obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate from the Post Office. Items posted without a Proof of Postage Certificate are done so at your own risk.

    Incorrectly Supplied Goods If we have sent you an incorrect item, please use the Returns Slip on on the bottom of your invoice, or obtain a Returns Code as above, and return the item to us using the correct postage and obtaining a Proof of Postage Certificate from the Post Office. On receipt of the goods we will send you the correct goods and refund the postage you have paid to return the incorrectly supplied item to us.

    Motorcycle Battery Returns Policy

    The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 gives UK consumers the right to cancel their order within 7 working days of taking delivery, providing the product is returned in re-saleable condition and in the original packaging. On receipt of a replacement motorcycle battery, before adding the acid, please inspect the motorcycle battery carefully and check that it is the correct replacement by matching the new battery with the existing battery; matching the dimensions, connections, part number and JIS & Varta part codes. Please note that if the battery is not suitable we can only accept it back if the acid has not been added to the battery.

    Unwanted Motorcycle Battery If the motorcycle battery is not suitable and you wish to return it, please contact us either by telephone (01793 778127) or using our Contact Us form to discuss the best method of return. Please note however that it remains the customer's responsibility to arrange and pay for the return of the battery to us in order to receive a full refund of the initial purchase price.

    Exchanging Motorcycle Battery If you have ordered the wrong motorcycle battery and wish to exchange it for the correct battery, please contact us either by telephone (01793 778127) or using our Contact Us form to discuss the best method of return and the correct replacement. Please note that there will be a charge to the customer for the collection of the unwanted battery even if this is collected by the courier when the replacement battery is delivered.

    Incorrectly Supplied Motorcycle Battery If we have sent you the wrong motorcycle battery, please contact us either by telephone (01793 778127) or using our Contact Us form to discuss collection of the incorrectly supplied battery and delivery of the correct battery.

    If you need to contact us we are only an email away and we endeavour to answer all emails within one working day. Please use our Contact Us form. You can write to us at the address on our contacts page. You can telephone (calls charged at standard UK national rate) on 01793-778127. If the office is not manned please leave your name and telephone number on the answer machine. We will call or email you back a response. Our business hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 2 working days and with this acknowledgement we will give an indication of the time we are likely to take in resolving the matter. We will keep all correspondence confidential.
    Complaints and general support enquiries by telephone should be made using the following telephone number (01793-778127) weekdays, 9.00am until 5.00pm. Telephone calls to this telephone number are charged at the standard UK national rate.

    These terms do not affect a consumer's statutory rights.
