How to Remove a Watch Battery Held by a Spring Clip
Step 1. Many watches have a spring clip that holds the watch battery in place in the watch case. One edge of the battery sits under the retaining clip on one
side of the battery compartment. The battery is held in position by a sprung loaded bar which pushes against the battery and sits slightly over it as shown here.

Step 2. To release the battery gently ease the spring clip away from the battery, using your fingernail or the end of the plastic tweezers.
As you draw the clip
away the battery will pop out of the battery compartment. Only a small movement of the spring clip is required.
