1)    YOUR PRIVACY AND PAYMENT

Privacy

Here at Indigo Collar Tags we treat very seriously the subject of customer privacy

We do not sell or give any information you provide to us to any third party. We may contact you from time to time to keep you informed of any news from Indigo CollarTags™ and of course you can let us know at any time if you wish to be removed from our list.

Every time you visit a site on the internet the host server temporarily records certain information about you. The address of your internet service provider (AOL, BT, Tiscali, etc) records which pages you visit and the time of your visit. This information is not requested by us and we cannot stop it from happening. The server needs this information in order to transmit the pages you wish to view to your computer. After a time, 30-60 days, your information scrolls off the server and is gone. This will happen at every site you visit on the internet.

“Cookies”

Our shopping basket (as with all the others of which we are aware) uses “cookies” to track your progress through our site and identify you with the products you may order. If you have your browser set to refuse “cookies” you cannot order online at our site. Some large corporations (using LAN networks) prevent “cookies” from being set so if you are using a computer hooked up to a LAN network the shopping cart may not work.

Security and Payments

This is a secure site. We use super socket layering (SSL) to encrypt your order which is the highest form of encryption available. PAYPAL is the company we use to process your payments. Your order is encrypted when you send it to us, it is not encrypted now, as it sits on your computer, for this reason your browser may issue a “Security Warning”. The browser sees the order as it is now and has no way of “knowing” the information will be encrypted once you “Check Out”.

HAVE NO FEAR! Your credit card number and other personal information are safe and cannot be viewed by any third party while your order is coming across the internet on its way to us. We do not even see your credit card number here at our place of business and no one at Indigo Collar Tags has access to it.

Any credit or debit card details taken over the telephone will be processed using PayPal Virtual Terminal and then immediately destroyed using our shredding machine. We do not keep any card payment records for any order after processing

2) DELIVERY AND DELIVERY CHARGES

Postage Charges

No hidden costs here. We include all postage and handling fees in the low price to mainland UK and Northern Ireland.

Postage Method

We post all orders via Royal Mail First Class Postage to mainland UK and Northern Ireland.

European and International Orders

We do take orders from countries outside the UK and Northern Ireland. However, we do add a charge of £2.00 for European orders and £3.00 for International orders to each order to cover the additional cost of postage. For all orders over £100 postage will be free of charge

The shipping charges given are for delivery by Air Mail or by Courier service as appropriate

We cannot be held liable for any Customs charges, local taxes or import duties levied under local regulations. If you are in any doubt about what these may entail, you should consult your local Customs & Excise Office before ordering.

 

Sorry, but we do not ship orders first and invoice later - all orders must be paid for prior to despatch.

3)    ORDER CONFIRMATION AND AMENDMENTS

Online orders

We will automatically email you a confirmation when you order, for this reason we need a valid email address. If you do not receive an email then you either did not provide a valid email address, you have mail filters that rejected the confirmation delivery, or your order did not get to us.

Once you receive your confirmation email, we urge you to check it carefully for any errors or amendments you wish to make order. We also suggest you to leave the confirmation on your hard drive or in your “inbox” until your order arrives.

If you do notice an error or wish to change your order please send us an email immediately with the word EDIT, your name and the order reference in the subject line.

Repeat the order information in the body of the email and tell us what needs to be changed. For example: “EDIT number 772666 to 777666 or “EDIT postcode SN44 5EA to SN4 5EA” or “EDIT tag size 25mm to 20mm” or “EDIT collar colour Black to Red”

PLEASE NOTE Once a tag order has been sent to the engraving machine it cannot be rectified and a new order will have to be placed and paid for.

Mail orders

You will not receive a confirmation of order. Please double check to ensure that details are correct before placing your order and allow 14 days. If by this time you have not received anything please telephone or email and we will confirm your order status.

4)    RETURNS AND TAG ERRORS

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your experience at Indigo Collar Tags If you aren't happy with something you purchased, please return it, but would ask you to phone or email us beforehand to let us know you are doing this and the reasons why.

Errors on Tags

Errors are rare. Any error made by us will be corrected free of charge. If the tag is received and the information is not correct due to the instructions you have provided us, a new order will unfortunately have to be placed through this site or by post and you will be charged for this new order.

Collars and Other Products

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase these must be returned within seven days of receipt. However, you are responsible for the safekeeping of the goods whilst they are in your possession and they must be returned in original condition and in the original manufacturers packaging and we will gladly replace them or give you a full refund.

 

 5) OUR GUARANTEE

CollarTags™

We guarantee these tags to remain 'functional' for the life of your pet.

If you buy one of our CollarTags™ and it ever wears out or breaks during the life of your pet, we will replace it free of charge as long as the original is returned for our inspection. In these cases, the replacement information will be the same as that engraved on the original tag (i.e. pet name, phone number, etcetera) changes are not allowed on warranty replacement tags.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not guarantee the tags against collar loss or the need to update tag information.

Collars and other products

These are not guaranteed by us. If you have any complaints about the quality of them please let us know and we will pass your details to the manufacturer.

Even if you use a traditional hanging tag to ID your pet we urge you to ALSO consider getting a CollarTag to back up the hanging tag. Q - What do I engrave on my tag?

The Control of Dogs Order (1992) says "every dog" in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner engraved or written on it, or engraved on a tag. Your dog must still wear an identity tag even if it is microchipped.

You can be fined up to £5,000 if your dog does not wear an identification tag.

Provided there is room, we can put anything you want on our tags, what you put in the instruction boxes when ordering is what will be on the tag. Please bear in mind that a lot of text crammed onto a small tag will result in lettering that is difficult to read. Results look better if you try to be brief and to the point and avoid obvious wording, like PLEASE CALL, middle initials in your name and putting your last name on the tag twice, once after pet name and once after your name, this is obvious and will just make the tag look cluttered.

Please note that you do not have to fill all the boxes on the tag data entry form. The less writing the larger the print will be.

Q  How is the text formatted?

All text is in all capital letters for clarity and centred, top to bottom, left to right. Less text means the text we engrave will be larger. For example, if you ask for one line, with say, just your pet’s name, the letter height will be much larger than if you ask for two lines, etcetera.

 

 

Q - What size tag for my pet?

We have CollarTags™ for almost all types of collars. Plastic snap buckles, rolled leather, double thick with eyelets, Martingale, Invisible Fence, you name it we almost certainly have a style that will work on the collar your pet wears.

Getting the right tag has everything to do with the width, thickness and type of collar your pet wears. You must take care to determine these factors prior to ordering.

We also offer what we refer to as a "Combo" (a collar and CollarTag together). Looking at these might help you to better understand which CollarTag will work with the collar you already have.

Please refer to our section on “Sizing and Fitting” and if you are unsure, please Contact Us before you order as mistakes cannot be rectified after the tag is engraved and a new tag will have to be ordered.

Q – How do I make sure I am ordering the right size collar or harness for my pet?

Q – How do I fit my new tag?

Closed End Tags – These simply slide onto the collar

Open End Tags - Draw the outsides of the webbing together and pass it through the small opening in the middle of the lugs. Open webbing out and now it is secure.

Q – Quantity Discounts

All discounts are worked out on the website automatically.

Q – Can I collect my tag from your premises?

Sorry but we do not allow collections from our working farm. We only have a single track road that we have heavy machinery using. It is too dangerous and we cannot ensure your safety.

Q - How long until I receive my order?

This may vary depending when you have placed your order in our fortnightly cycle. To keep our prices as low as possible we now engrave large batches once a fortnight. We always process the orders on a Wednesday before midday. If the deadline is missed I'm afraid there is nothing we can do. Please check our homepage for the next delivery date homepage

Q – How do I contact you?

However, will you please note that we are a busy dairy farm and not always available in the office to answer your telephone call immediately however, if you leave a message we will get back to you as soon as we can, although thanks to modern technology and a trusty iPhone, we can often answer an e-mail query whilst “on the go”.
